At Remmy we are about supporting people with a disability, one way we do this is through our Social Centres.
Remmy runs Social Centre Programs for people with disabilities in both Milton and Bomaderry. Both sites are designed to help build peoples capacity and gain the life skills they need to help them navigate life independently.
Social Centre Programs have a strong focus on group and one-on-one activities that builds our participants community participation, and social engagement whilst building their life skills.
Many of our participants attend our centre 3-4 days each week, whilst there, our participants engage in activities such as cooking, arts & craft gardening, lego and more.
Day trips and short outings are types of activity that are regular occurrence as we aim for are participants to engage with the community. Each outing is based on the individual’s level of disabilities. Some common activities and trips are swimming, CrossFit, and beach outings.
We can help people gain skills and confidence in areas such as:

• Cooking and healthy food preparation
• Fitness
• Socialisation
• Managing money
• Outdoor recreation
• Relaxation and mindfulness
